I'm the Creative Director at Beekeeper Group. I teach Visual Design at General Assembly. I make things for the web.
I lead the design team at Beekeeper Group, a DC public affairs firm (think PR for causes). We focus on telling complex advocacy stories in a clear and useful way, to help non-policy experts understand why an issue is important and what they can do about it. I work on a variety of projects—websites, infographics, social campaigns, print materials—and am particularly interested in helping others get more comfortable with design and good design process.
In the evenings, I teach Visual Design at General Assembly. My course covers design fundamentals, web design best practices, and strategies for thinking through design problems. I also quote Mike Monteiro. A lot.
